ECS reduces costs while improving control of citation processing and business performance. |
ECS replaces conventional citation pads with mobile computers or handheld personal digital assistants (PDA). Software running on the mobile computer manages the citation issuance process. ECS simplifies data entry and helps prevent errors. Menus, check-boxes and other limited-response menus help assure that correct information is recorded and that charged offenses are consistent with other information associated with the citation. Once all of offender data is collected and entered in the ECS device, the officer saves it to the computer’s memory or uploads it to a remote host computer using “real-time” wireless communication. Citations are then printed on a mobile printer.
The electronic information recorded by the officer is integrated to your court system and, depending upon the jurisdiction, the state Bureau of Motor Vehicles. The citation and warning information will also be available to the appropriate judicial and law enforcement officials so the most up-to-date data is available.
