The Cleveland Clinic is a not-for-profit, multispecialty academic medical center that integrates clinical and hospital care with research and education. Business Goals & Objectives
Laboratories have used the same process for documenting lab tests and results for centuries. Specifically, all notes were captured in a notebook. Notebooks were subsequently secured in a desk drawer or bookcase. Access to notebooks, if they could be found, was limited. Sharing of knowledge was archaic. The Cleveland Clinic wanted to improve their laboratory processes.

Entara Solution
The Entara SmartLab solution provides a tool supporting the work done by scientists in a laboratory replacing both archaic documentation processes as well as workflow. More importantly, it transforms a laboratory from a “sole practitioner” mentality to a collaborative environment.

• Workflow and information storage policies are strictly enforced to promote precision, reuse, and availability.
